Project Summary:
Education, Apprenticeship and Work are the key words that characterize the establishment and operation of the consortium of the 2EK partner schools, Eidiko, 2EPAL, 3EPAL and 6EPAL. These units having common priorities and visions, draw on the experience of 2EK in drawing up similar Plans and the great willingness of all to participate in innovative extroversion actions and design jointly an ERASMUS + Mobility Plan for their staff.
The proposed Plan aims to support, strengthen and ultimately upgrade Special Vocational Education through the incorporation of model educational practices and practices that have already been implemented in Europe and have been positively evaluated. As the partner schools of the Plan provide courses of various fields and specializations to students of various categories (minors and adults, socially and financially weak, immigrants, students with disabilities and special educational needs, students dependent on substances), the Plan includes a flow of training for 15 teachers of various specialties in training and support techniques for disabled students, students with special needs and students dependent on substances in EPAL schools. The training organization ITC International TEFL Certificate s.r.o., located in Prague, will take over the organization of this seminar.
The main features of the proposed Plan are as follows:
- Participation of a mixed group of 15 teachers with the ability to assimilate, apply and disseminate new practices in the educational community, diversity in their studies and their teaching subjects.
- Preparing the participants by taking part in information events about the country that will welcome them.
- Short linguistic preparation of the participants, including English terminology.
- Brief preparation of the candidates in the educational subject of their participation flow.
The participants will be trained in the following context: The courses will contain a mixture of theoretical and practical knowledge. Initially, participants will be given the necessary theoretical framework. Then the theoretical framework will be completed with several practical projects that will fulfill the right conditions and requirements for the consolidation of new knowledge and skills.
The expected outcomes of the Plan are as follows:
- The best theoretical approach to the disorders and the treatment of them, as well as the transmission of the acquired knowledge to everybody at school, thus enhancing the respective theoretical framework and the support framework that the school must have for the Disabled, Special Needs Students and the Dependent on substances.
- Teachers will learn methods of approaching the Disabled, Special Needs Students and the Dependent on substances in other countries, the pros and cons that they may present, so that through this knowledge teacher themselves but also other students can approach them in a better way.
Teachers can redefine parts of the educational process so that activities and projects respond to a heterogeneous ability and intelligence classroom.
- Teachers can understand the deeper problems that can be created in the school environment, recognize them and help them deal with them.
- Applying the knowledge acquired by teachers to facilitate both school operation and the psychological and mental health of all those involved.
- Teachers will acquire a more complete understanding of how to evaluate Disabled, Special Needs Students and the Dependent on substances.
- Adopting advanced student-centered pedagogical practices that create a modern profile for Vocational Education teachers.
- Greater understanding of strategies and systems dealing with Special Needs Students and disabled people in different countries, fostering mutual respect and intercultural awareness.
- Creation of new partnerships which can serve as a basis for exchange of experience at European level.
- Identifying risk factors and different types of barriers, improving primary, selective and indicated prevention, increasing cooperation between education, research and innovative interventions.
- Improving the use of a foreign language, interacting with a different culture, gaining European consciousness.
- Generally, improving Vocational Education and Training teachers and students to increase the quality of VET, link VET to the labour market and regional development.
